Concrete is created with stone as well as adhesive materials into various shapes. It is a versatile material and special tools are essential for cutting through its hard and durable material. Some of the tools required for cutting concrete blocks include Concrete Saws, Sand Blaster and Water.
Concrete Saws
These saws are usually large and circular and they function just like circular saws. However their speeds are higher and their blades are also different. Most of the concrete blades for cutting are known as diamond blades. Even if the blades are actually made of steel but brushed with diamond dust on their tips. The tips are specially made for holding up the heavy cutting tool through concrete. Nevertheless it does not mean that the blades will not require to be sharpened even after enough of concrete has been cut through.
Sand Blaster
It is not a technical cutting tool but it can cut through concrete as efficiently as a saw. This tool sprays a concentrated stream of grit which can be of sand, silicate or glass particles. Sandblasters are mostly used for engraving.
Water
This is one more tool for cutting concrete. It operates in the same way like that of a sand blaster. When water is put under pressure, it can carry a great amount of force from behind. The machine cutting the concrete is like power washer. However it carries more force behind it. The water under pressure is sprayed out in a line and it cuts the concrete along that line. This technique is cleaner compared to sand blasting and so no cleaning is required as the water evaporates in due course of time.
