The options for kids’ beds are plentiful and there are many kinds and styles, each one affording a different type of fun depending on the child. Even children have unique tastes and each child, given the opportunity, will find the style that will provide the most fun for them. However, it is up to the parent to insure that the type of bed a child finds most enjoyable will also be to provide the quality sleep that every growing child needs.
One type of bed which kids can find to be a lot of fun is a platform bed. These can be raised up a bit to provide space underneath the bed for storage to help children learn how to get and stay organized or set lower to the floor so that it is easier for kids to get in and out of the bed. Platform beds are strong and well-constructed so that they can withstand anything a child can throw at them or do to them in fun but are still able to support them while they sleep without needing a box spring. These beds are particularly good if a child has his or own room but it is somewhat limited in space.
Another type of bed that can be a fun for kids is the storage bed or captain’s bed. This kind of bed not only provides storage space underneath the bed but often can have bookshelves built into the headboard above the bed or toy chests built into the footboard at the end of the bed. This extra storage space makes it easier for kids to learn how to clean their bedrooms and can even make it a fun experience. Storage beds or captains’ beds may be more expensive than regular beds for kids but the extra storage space provided and the additional entertainment f or children can easily outweigh the extra cost.
One type of bed that can be the most fun and exciting for kids is a bed that has a theme. With a theme bed, a kid’s bedroom can be transformed into a formidable fortress or a mighty pirate ship. Theme beds enhance a child’s imagination and elicit the most enthusiastic and positive responses from children. They are actually regular beds, platform beds, storage beds or any other type of bed that has been embellished in ways that are inventive and imaginative to be more fun for kids than any other type of bed. Kids consider them “cool” and they often reduce the problems that parents may encounter at bedtime.
Bunk beds are another option that can provide a great deal of fun for kids while offering a space-saving feature for parents. Many children like climbing up to the top bed while others like the comfort of sleeping on the bottom bed. Younger kids may be comforted by having an older sibling sleep with them in the same room, while those who do not share a room with a sister or brother may like having these beds for when friends sleep over.
Regardless of the type of bed that is chosen, kids are certain to be able to use their imagination and creativity to create a fun environment out of their bed.
